Celebrates 20 Years of Service and Giving Back

For nearly two decades, Shea Electric & Communications has been building more than electrical systems — we’ve been building stronger communities. Founded in 2006 with a vision of exceptional service and unwavering integrity, Shea Electric has grown into a trusted partner for businesses across Northeast Wisconsin. Just as importantly, we’ve made it our mission to share our success by giving back to the people and causes that make our region thrive.

Commitment to Community

From the beginning, Dan Shea, COO, understood that philanthropy should be a fundamental part of the organization’s culture. Through employee volunteer efforts, charitable donations and community sponsorships, Shea Electric has supported dozens of nonprofits, schools and civic projects. Over the past 20 years, we have donated more than $1.25 million in cash and in-kind services, backing everything from youth sports teams to local food banks and technical school scholarships.

Employees are encouraged to take part in community outreach through paid volunteer time, matching gift programs and team-based service projects. Crews have wired charity build projects, organized community events and applied technical expertise to nonprofits in need.

“It’s gratifying to see our team use their talents to make a tangible difference,” says Shea.

Team member Andrew Borgardt echoes this sentiment: “Giving back is part of who we are. Whether it’s volunteering, supporting a local cause or wiring a project that improves lives, it’s rewarding to know our work strengthens the communities we live, work and play in.”

Partnerships That Matter

Our giving philosophy centers on building long-term relationships. We’re proud to support organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oshkosh, SSM Health Hospice Home of Hope, Christine Ann Center, Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, Fond du Lac ACE Academy and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac, to name a few.

“The Boys & Girls Club is stronger and able to serve more children thanks to the incredible support of Shea Electric,” says Tracy Ogden, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh. “They consistently go above and beyond. Their commitment to investing in our youth reflects a deep belief in the future of our community.”

Recognition and Inspiration

Our service has been recognized with multiple community impact awards, but the real reward is in the results — students learning new skills, nonprofits operating in safe environments and businesses thriving with upgraded systems.

As Patty Shea, Owner, reflects: “Our hope is to inspire others to give in their own way.”
