Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County announced it will sell its building located at 107 Cedar St., Sheboygan Falls, as it focuses on school-based programs that maximizes existing spaces and reduce transportation barriers.
In 2023, the organization served a record number of youth, and plans to increase services to meet the growing need.
“We’re energized about the opportunities this transition presents for local kids and families,” said Club CEO Christina Singh, “While our Sheboygan Falls building has served us well over the years, directing resources towards school-based sites allows us to amplify our impact. Right now, there is a critical shortage of childcare in Sheboygan County. Boys & Girls Clubs have stepped up by adding before-school programming at several locations, and by opening more school-based sites. Families don’t have to worry about getting kids back and forth while they’re at work and kids have access to meaningful experiences and supportive relationships right where they are.”
Zach Pethan, School District of Sheboygan Falls superintendent, said the sale of the building will not interrupt any club programming or services for the Sheboygan Falls community.
“We eagerly anticipate the continued growth and success of our partnership, confident in its ability to deliver meaningful impact,” Pethan said.
In addition to programming at Sheboygan Falls Elementary, Boys & Girls Clubs operates sites at Lake Country Academy, Cooper Elementary, Jefferson Elementary and Longfellow Elementary. Teen services are provided through a drop-in club at the Sheboygan YMCA and a Be Great Graduate program at South High.
