The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation has named TJ Crowns as its new director of economic development.
A Sheboygan native, Crowns joined SCEDC in early 2025, where he initially managed the organization’s finances and operations before stepping in to assist with economic development initiatives.
In his new role, Crowns will focus on supporting business retention and expansion efforts, working with local communities and partners, and advancing projects that promote long-term economic growth throughout Sheboygan County.
“Having grown up in Sheboygan, this role is especially meaningful to me,” Crowns said. “I’m extremely excited and passionate about continuing the economic growth of Sheboygan County and supporting the businesses and communities that make it such a great place to live and work.”
“We are excited to have TJ leading our economic development efforts in Sheboygan County,” said Chairperson Don Hammond. “His commitment to our mission and Sheboygan County will strengthen our communities by driving sustainable economic growth and advancing economic development opportunities.”
SCEDC is a public-private partnership that works to foster economic development by supporting existing businesses, attracting new investment, and collaborating with local and regional partners to strengthen the county’s economy.
