Sheboygan Falls housing initiatives
The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC)’s housing initiative is supported by the Forward Fund, which was capitalized through generous $2 million contributions from Johnsonville, Kohler Co., Masters Gallery Foods, Inc. and Sargento. Sheboygan County also contributed $2 million in ARPA funds and the city of Sheboygan Falls has been a strong partner in advancing the effort. The first single-family housing project, Founders’ Pointe, includes 54 homes and is well underway — 36 homes have already been sold, with 77% purchased by first-time homeowners and 30% by families relocating to Sheboygan County. The second project, Founders’ Pointe Neighborhood, features a 41-home pocket neighborhood subdivision in which the first three homes are now available for sale.
Plymouth housing Initiative
The SCEDC, in partnership with the Forward Fund and the city of Plymouth, is set to construct its third entry-level housing subdivision in Sheboygan County. SCEDC submitted and received approval to rezone 32 acres west of South Pleasant View Road to facilitate single-family home development. Engineering has begun with a planned groundbreaking in spring 2026. The 32-acre development will offer more than 90 single-family homes.
Random Lake community enhancement fund

The village of Random Lake has completed its master plan to guide future development proposals for 150 acres along the Highway 144 and 57 corridors including sites with lakefront access. To implement the placemaking plans, a community enhancement fund has been created through a charitable donation of $1 million to the SCEDC Foundation. Applications are now being accepted. The goal of the community enhancement fund is to make Random Lake an even better place to live, work and visit by investing in projects that help the community thrive.
Cedar Grove business park

The village of Cedar Grove is advancing a 152-acre business park on former farmland at the junction of I-43 and State 32, with a public–private partnership allowing the landowner to retain ownership while Cedar Grove develops the infrastructure. The park is being positioned to become the only Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation “Certified Site” between Milwaukee and Green Bay — a coveted designation that signals development-readiness by completing environmental and site assessments ahead of time, helping to accelerate project timelines. Initial buildout plans prioritize two large industrial users, enabling funding of infrastructure. The remaining land is slated for smaller mixed-use developments. Marketing efforts will target both foreign and domestic companies, with support from SCEDC and local incentives structured in the development agreement.
