Local news about the companies, people and issues that impact business in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond.

From top Wisconsin sports venues like Green Bay’s Lambeau Field and Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum to national destinations like Las Vegas’ Resorts World, you can take in the work of Jones Sign Co.

The Green Bay-based sign manufacturing company has long partnered on projects with the Green Bay Packers. It also helped the Milwaukee Brewers transition branding from Miller Park to American Family Field and completed design, fabrication and installation work for the Milwaukee Bucks’ Fiserv Forum. At Resorts World, Jones developed massive exterior LED displays, interior wayfinding elements and reader boards.

Jones Sign specializes in multi-site branding work, large-scale custom projects and architectural creations. Through its branding work, the company completes projects for Fortune 500 companies including AutoZone, Lululemon and Sephora. On the custom side, it has worked with the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle — a venue dedicated to sustainability. There it used LED to replicate the effect of neon lights in a more eco-friendly way, Jones Sign Vice President Kevin Morris says.

“We’re really fortunate because it’s easy to get that gratification in what we do, because it’s such a visual product,” says Jim Merriman, senior

vice president of custom venues for Jones Sign. “You can touch it. You can feel it. Really, you’re playing for an audience, and you get to see how they react to it.”

That includes a recent project in which company subdivision Jones Architectural Creations and Jones Sign worked with general contractor C.D. Smith Construction and architectural firm Kahler Slater to preserve the historic elements of the Warner Grand Theatre, the new home of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

“It was cool to be able to leverage our experience and (showcase) a lot of our products,” Morris says.
