Some Joann Fabrics stores closing in Northeast Wisconsin

Joann Fabrics is closing 16 of its Wisconsin stores as part of a larger effort to downsize its operations nationwide.

The company, which filed for bankruptcy in January, will shut down 533 of its 800 stores across the country.

Final closure dates for the affected stores have yet to be announced.

Stores in Appleton and Green Bay are not on the closure list, but stores in four other Northeast Wisconsin communities are.
