Spectrum announced July 2 it has expanded internet, mobile and TV services to 2,900 homes and small businesses in Outagamie County.

Spectrum’s newly-constructed fiber-optic network buildout includes parts of the towns of Black Creek, Cicero, Center, Deer Creek, Ellington, Freedom, Kaukauna, Liberty, Maine, Maple Creek, Navarino, Oneida, Osborn, Seymore and the Village of Shiocton.

This new service is part of the company’s approximately $5 billion  investment in unserved rural communities, partly offset by $1.2 billion in the Federal Communications Commission’s RDOF auction.

“I’ve been a longtime advocate of expanding wired internet access to our rural residents and schools,” said Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson. “I’m thrilled to celebrate more available connectivity from Spectrum – and look forward to the growth and opportunity that high-speed internet access will bring.”
