Bellin Region President Chris Woleske has been awarded the Wisconsin Hospital Association’s Distinguished Service Award for her impact on health care at the state and local levels.
The Distinguished Service Award honors senior health care executives who have made exemplary commitments to WHA and the communities they serve.
In presenting the award, WHA President and CEO Eric Borgerding said, “Her strong commitment to advancing health care goes well beyond her own organization and the Green Bay area. Chris’ exceptional leadership has made a broader impact for our state.”
Woleske joined Bellin Health in 1998 and has served in many leadership roles — including general counsel, executive vice president leading hospital services and chief operating officer — prior to her appointment as president and CEO in 2018. She became executive vice president of Bellin and Gundersen Health System and president of the Bellin Region when the two health systems merged in late 2022.
As a member of Bellin’s executive leadership team, she has been involved in strategic planning and operational execution of key initiatives for Bellin Hospital, Bellin Medical Group, Bellin Specialty Group, Bellin Psychiatric Center and Bellin Health Oconto Hospital.
