Stories of this invention last year graced the pages of both IOM and Insight on Business, which highlighted Sheboygan-based recycling advocates Jim Theodoroff and Jeff Haen. The RAK’N Pak they patented in 2015 solves a special challenge on manufacturing and warehouse floors: the annoying process of collecting and recycling plastic film. The patented Vent Press bag used with the system holds way more of the bulky yet virtually weightless material than the once-favored Gaylord box. Fans of the system include the Mayo Clinic and the U.S. Postal Service, among others.
