Introduced alongside Pierce Manufacturing’s municipal Volterra electric pumper, the zero-emission Striker Volterra ARFF vehicle is on a mission to improve fire department safety and sustainability. Current purchase orders will place the innovation in five global locations in the coming years, including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The Striker Volterra offers not only the benefit of reduced emissions but also noise reduction in the vehicle’s interior and exterior, which company officials say will lead to improved work processes and communication for firefighters.
