The flagship product of the Marinette/Menominee-based helicopter company that has roots dating back to 1957, the Enstrom 480B was introduced in 1993 and was developed with the U.S. Army’s exacting specifications in mind. The chopper is currently used for military pilot training, law enforcement and emergency medical assistance, as well as in commercial and agricultural markets all over the world. “Enstrom is a new member of ours,” NEW Manufacturing Alliance Executive Director Ann Franz says. “Isn’t that cool? Helicopters are made here. [Our region] makes ships, helicopters and fire trucks.”
