Wisconsin Safety Council announced the winners of the organization’s 31st annual Workplace Safety Awards and the list includes three firms based in the New North.

The program, sponsored by Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development and M3 Insurance, recognizes Wisconsin companies that are dedicated to prioritizing a culture of safety in the workplace and have maintained exceptional safety records.

“Prioritizing safety is often the gift that keeps on giving,” said Wisconsin Safety Council Executive Director Aaron Huebner. “A safe working environment will likely directly result in better camaraderie and employee satisfaction, higher efficiency, increased product quality, and more. Most importantly, though, a safe workplace means that employees go home to their families in the same condition they came – whole and healthy.”

The Workplace Safety Awards, previously known as the Corporate Safety Awards, were renamed this year to put more emphasis on the team members who promote safety and well-being, highlighting the joint effort required to maintain safe workplaces.

The awards will be presented at the Wisconsin Safety Council’s Annual Conference, held April 14-16 in the Wisconsin Dells.
