Wendy’s plans to close hundreds of U.S. restaurants to boost profit, according to an Associated Press report.

The fast-food chain said on Friday during a conference call with investors that it would close the restaurants in the fourth quarter of this year, with closures expected to affect a “mid-single-digit percentage” of its U.S. restaurants.

Wendy’s closed 240 of its U.S. locations in 2024. The restaurant chain currently has 6,011 restaurants.
