Wrightstown voters will have a chance to weigh in on data center development in the village this summer.

The Village Board votes to put an advisory referendum on the August primary ballot asking residents if they support placing a temporary moratorium on data center development.

A citizen petition asked for the referendum after stories surfaced that Wrightstown officials were having discussions with a data center developer after a proposed project in nearby Greenleaf was derailed.

The results of the August referendum will be non-binding.
