The Greater Green Bay YMCA launched Y on the Fly, a mobile outreach initiative designed to bring safe, engaging, and relationship-driven programming directly into neighborhoods across Brown County.
The initiative is made possible through funding from the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Community Safety Fund Microgrant Program supporting prevention-focused strategies that build stronger, safer communities.
Y on the Fly will deliver a variety of activities for all ages, including cooperative games, physical activity, crafts, books, and interactive experiences at parks, schools, community events, and neighborhood gathering spaces. By meeting people where they are.
“At the YMCA, we are committed to strengthening our community by supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility,” said Kathleen McKee, Chief Youth Enrichment Officer of the Greater Green Bay YMCA. “Y on the Fly allows us to extend that impact directly into neighborhoods, creating safe, positive spaces where individuals and families can connect, grow, and thrive.”
Community members can find Y on the Fly’s monthly schedule of locations and events online or request the program at local events at greenbayymca.org/y-on-the-fly/
